Context
In a challenging landscape marked by a lack of public policies for the ongoing training of protection network professionals, frontline workers face major difficulties in addressing gender-based violence. In response, Serenas launched the Humanized Care from a Gender Perspective training series in 2023, in partnership with Claret Institute. The project aimed to train professionals in social assistance and early childhood education in the neighborhoods of Pirituba, Brasilândia, Perus, and the central region of Sáo Paulo city to prevent gender-based violence and offer humanized care in their communities.

Our work
With a practical and sensitive approach, we delivered training sessions for professionals in both basic and specialized social assistance and early childhood education. We also produced and distributed a Pocket Guide for Public Agents, with clear guidance on providing humanized care, and provided technical assistance to encourage multiplier actions within Claret Institute’s service units.
